Home Sweet Home

I realize this post is long over due, but I feel it necessary to tell you about the town I live in! The town of Phichit is considered a small town, but there’s quite a bit of people and lots of shops all crammed together. There are parks everywhere. It’s rather beautiful actually. Also, I am a celebrity here and I really love the fame. It may be going to my head actually. Something about walking, and having people gawk at you and yell hello and other sweet things. It’s just real great. Here are a few snap shots!

Here is Heidi, Natalie and I at the drink shop. I think it’s called Rose in English. Basically it is the best thing in Phichit, no lie. My personal favorites are the Oreo shake and the Orange Milk Tea Blended. Delicious. If ever you find yourself in Phichit, come here. Your welcome.

This is a picture of Natalie and I on the paddle boats. It was a dollar for the two of us to paddle out and feed the fish for 30 minutes. The fish attack the bread, and though the picture may not look like we were having the time of our lives. We were.

This photo is at the Phichit Boat Races! It is quite the event, and a big enough event that puts Phichit on the map! Boat teams from all over Thailand come here for the race, and it is amazing. They go so fast! We got to sit in the VIP section, which was quite the treat.
Are tickets were the same as everyone else’s, but Tang and Ake  (the owners of the school) are kind of a big deal here. Ake walked us in, and over to the VIP gate and then the security man just opened it up a bit so we could get in. It was a treat when the boat race men pulled there boat over and all posed for us so we could get pictures. Quite a treat indeed.

This picture was taken right after the boat races. We went over to a temple and were blessed by a monk! He swatted some sticks around covered in water and chanted something at me. I feel pretty good about it. Also, I got my fortune and it told me good fortune and health are coming my way. Also, if I ask for money, I’ll get it. I’ll take that fortune any day.
